Two of the loveliest, funniest couples I ever met got married in May and yes, I was the photographer that was given the honour of capturing

Choosing your Photographer - a buyers guide

So you’ve chosen your venue, you went with something that suited your style, had that wow factor, that looked great, gave you the confidence they could host your wedding and also fitted with your budget. Now to book a photographer.. and you go purely on how cheap they are…. *NAAAW* (BGT buzzer alert) Look I understand we are all on budgets, heck if we weren’t there would be so many people getting married at St Pauls Cathedral and having a knees up at Buckingham Palace it wou

    2018 - A Year in Review

With The Beast from the East, Brexit confusion, Novochock, Korea, The World Cup, Heat waves, floods and wild fires you'd be mistaken for thinking 2018 was a bit of a pants year. Well let me tell you, aside from all those depressing things, my 2018 rocked!! There was so much love in the air, every single one of the weddings I shot this year was amazing and full of the best emotions. I may even have shed a small tear hiding behind my camera at a couple of them. I met so many in

    Seria & Anthony | June 2018 | The White Heather | Lincolnshire

So what can I say about Seria & Ants wedding. It was awesome. They had the wedding at the The White Heather, Caernby Corner, Lincolnshire and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The marquee at the white heather looked amazing, decorated beautifully with all Seria & Anthonys little touches which gave it a personality all of its own. As a lincolnshire wedding photographer I was blown away. Anthony held his nerves right up until Seria walked down the isle and then the emoti

Frances & Rob | The White Heather | September 2017

If I was ever asked which of all the weddings I've done was the most emotional, Frances and Robs would win hands down. Tears of nervousness, joy, happiness and just a feeling of utter love that engulfed the whole day. I don't mind admitting being caught up in the emotion myself that day, thankfully at those times I can hide behind my camera. Both Rob and Frances were calm but very nervous in the morning and I just knew it was going to be a good day. They had chosen to get mar

Maisie & Foz | Hazel Gap Barn | September 2017

When the Father of the Bride beat boxes during his speech then you totally know that this was one of the most fun weddings I've been to.. Don't get me wrong, this was not a comedy wedding, far from it, beautifully romantic, sweet and a day full of love from both Maisie and Foz and all their friends and family. The Wedding and reception took place at a relatively new wedding venue, Hazel Gap Barn, an old red brick barn converted to host weddings and situated on the Welbeck Est

Shelley & Gary | The White Heather | May 2017

What can I say about Shelley and Gary's big day.. It was awesome... Thats definitely a word to describe it I'd say. A beautiful day from start to finish. I knew I was in for a good day when I turned up at the The White Heather at Caenby Corner in Lincolnshire and I was greeted with the laughter of nervousness and excitement that every wedding day should start with. Shelley is hilarious, such a dry sense of humour and I love that, it really made the preparations for the day so
2016 | It wasn't all bad was it?

2016 | It wasn't all bad was it?

Well what a year it's been, apart from all the celebrities dying, political madness and some, quite frankly, mind blowing inventions, it's been a really good year. I know many wouldn't agree but then I personally see the same posts on Facebook and Twitter every year, 'Glad it's over, here's to 20##', 'next year can't be any worse', or the all too common 'Screw you 20##', (or words to that effect). Well for me it's not been like that, I shot some awesome weddings, moved my bus

    Country Wedding Bliss

A fantastic June day in 2016 saw Joanne and Ben say their vows to each other and show off their love in front of their friends and family. The Wedding at the Ramada Resort in Marston, Grantham couldn't have gone better, well organised, fantastically run and brilliant friends and family that had nothing but joy for Joanne and Ben. When I arrived the bride and bridesmaids were already in full swing, having a great time getting ready for the day ahead and I knew it was going to
    Cheryl & Ed's Wedding Day

    Cheryl & Ed's Wedding Day

The Beautiful Wedding of Cheryl and Ed on the 30th April 2016 was an amazing affair. It had threatened rain for days before but on morning of the big day the sun came out and Cheryl and Ed were blessed with an amazing day to remember.. The big event happened at Branston Hall Hotel, Lincoln, an amazing venue with fantastic period features and the most beautiful grounds I have had the pleasure to shoot in. Lakes, bluebells, open fields and an amazing backdrop of the hall itself
    The Perfect Day.....

    The Perfect Day.....

Theres no denying it, weddings are stressful. All that planning, all those people doing different things at different times.. Its a logistical nightmare!!! Ive seen it all, cakes not turning up, downpours of rain, unexpected snow drifts, the wrong flowers, split trousers and not forgetting the drunk groom before the ceremony. But you know what, none of these things ruined the day, not a one. Take these things in your stride, breathe and remember its not the end of the world.
Do you really need a Professional Photographer for your Wedding?

Do you really need a Professional Photographer for your Wedding?

Its something I hear a lot, "Do I need a Professional Photographer? Uncle Bill has a camera, he could do it', 'Theres a guy I know who will shoot the wedding, he's not done one but says he will give it a go'... So should you spend your hard earned money on a photographer when theres so many camera phones, uncles with cameras and part time half penny have a go amatuer photographers out there.... If you cut corners with the cake, hardly anybody will realize, nobody will remembe
