Ha ha, no really and their wedding was just as amazing as they are..
This was a pretty special one for me as it was such a local wedding. They live in the same village as me, got married at All Saints Church in Harmston in Lincolnshire, only up the road and the reception was held at Washingborough Hall Hotel in Washingborough in Lincoln, where I used to live and know very well indeed.
Charlotte arrived at the church in possibly the most epic classic Bentley I've ever seen and she looked stunning. They'd gone for vintage colours with the bridesmaids in a dusky pink, the flower girl in white and the flowers in the same vintage colours as the bridesmaids. The whole wedding party looked beautiful.
After a really touching ceremony there were more classic cars with Charlotte & James leaving for Washingborough Hall in a white convertible classic E-type Jaguar.
I'm going to have to use my favourite word again, Awesome!!!
The whole vintage summer look to the wedding ran through to the reception too, croquet on the lawns, drinks on the patio and a real feeling like I was in some top notch BBC drama. It was such a well thought out and executed wedding I was blown away, I can only guess how the guests felt.
Best detail of the day goes to the wedding cake, which was a cheese cake.. No not a biscuit based mascapone affair, but actual cheese rounds stacked and presented as a tiered monument. Amazing..
Funniest moment of the day goes to Charlotte, James and the Bestman playing Croquet on the lawns. I don't know if they were keeping score, seemed to be a bit of a hit and run game to me.
Best moment of the day for me was at sunset, persuading the guys to come away from their guests for 5 minutes and getting some epic shots as the sun went down behind them. These shots are only possible for such a short space of time, so for me it makes my heart pound when they work so well.
I had the best day and thank Charlotte and James enough for letting me be their wedding photographer and sharing those special moments with them.
