Ashley & Jordan | The White Heather | Market Rasen | Lincolnshire

What can I say about these guys, Ashley and Jordan are two of the most fantastic people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. It really was a fantastic opportunity to be a part of their day.

Ashley and Jordan have the most amazing son, Charlie, who was born with a rare genetic condition. He never fails to make your heart glow with his infectious giggles and lovey little smile. I actually learnt a lot about their struggles from the BBC Panorama program 'Fighting for my Child' and what really amazed me was how nothing seemed to faze these guys. They have been through so much and with a wedding to organise on top of everything you'd have thought that it would have taken its toll on them, but no. They are such a strong couple and a real testament to true love. For me, just being with this adorable family made my year.

The big event all took place at one of my favourite venues in Lincolnshire, The White Heather at Caenby Corner, Market Rasen in Lincolnshire. As soon as I arrived I knew it would be amazing, Jordan had a lot of crazy bridesmaids (always a good start) who were just amazing friends and so excited for Jordan and Ashley had equally as crazy groomsmen who had his back the whole day.

The bridesmaids and groomsmen, the parents and everyone I talked to made me feel so welcome I almost forgot I was working and not a guest.

Jordans dress was a stunning mermaid gown, it looked gorgeous and along with deep burgundy bridesmaids dresses the bridal party was stunning. Ashley and the groomsmen wore deep blue suits garnished with burgundy ties and tweed waistcoats. Super stylish and they hung off those guys like suits on models.

The wedding was themed around something both Ash, Jordan and Charlie love, Rock Music!! They had even compiled an album for the guests to take away in cd format and remember the day with. Ashley is a drummer and so of course there was also a lot of percussion related wedding ideas that really went down well, a signing cymbal (an actual cymbal for the guests to sign) was my favourite and just looked amazing.

A lot of the decor, if not all of it, was actually handmade by Jordan and Ash as they were on a super tight budget, as many are these days. From the flowers to the wine glasses and table decorations it was all hand designed and made. Actually amazing! I had no idea so much was DIY until I asked Jordan for a list of suppliers. Blown away even more as I'm writing this.

For me this was such a special wedding and one I will always remember and I wish these guys all the happiness in the world, they certainly deserve it.
